Our history

OUR HISTORY    This will be a challenge but history is fun.  So, did a pony sell houses in Varlano?   Where did the name "VARLANO" come from?  The answers are below.  If you have pictures and information on the earlier years, please let me know.  I can scan the pictures and return them.

Frank Vari and Muzzy DeGirolano built VARLANO VILLAGE.  Below is a button for Muzzy's obituary.

Yes, VARi and DeGiroLANO used their names to form VARLANO.  According to Frank Vari's grandson, he would bring his pony to the construction site.  When the prospective buyers arrived, Frank

would give their children a pony ride.  Yes, a pony was selling

houses.

Dawes Court houses were built about 1984.  Actually, they were assembled, having arrived in 2 parts.  The picture shows a "half a house" parked on Trevett Drive, awaiting delivery.
